Marg Delahunty and the CBC were too quick to put words in Rob Ford’s 911 call, and Harper hasn’t really undermined gay marriage in Canada (or, “why nobody gets it and everyone’s an idiot”). The Globe and Mail just appointed its first public editor, so that may help. But does the Times question about reporting the full truth and nothing but the truth go too far, or not far enough?

Jon Bershad has also pondered the conservative comedy conundrum, and Gilleen stole some thinking from him.

Marriage, The feral cat problem, Music love

Is marriage desirable? Podguest Kristen tells us about her work with feral cats in Toronto, putting into perspective last week’s silly talk on kitties. Then we ask: why do we stop following new music as we age?

Kristen works with Annex Cat Rescue to feed, track, neuter, spay, and find homes for the 100,000 feral cats who face drastically shortened life spans after their owners abandon them to the outdoors. Downtown Toronto’s outdoors is no place for cats.

The loss of love—or at least patience—for following new music is a phenomenon that has been written about by The Onion, an Anything Anything Anything favourite.

Meanwhile, we want to mention to Toronto classic The Tranzac, a great place to start for shows and community events if you’re new to the city or, like us, you just haven’t been to see music in a while.
